The Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China was rocked by crisis this afternoon as an exasperated troop rushed into the committee, declaring that an assassination attempt had been conducted against their leader, Mao Zedong.
Mao’s troop exclaimed that a remote-controlled bomb was apparently planted in a plane on which Mao was supposedly a passenger; however, it was then revealed that the individual assumed to be Mao was actually a body double, and Mao himself remains unharmed. The body double and accompanying passengers on the plane, although, were all killed in result of the attempted assassination. Delegates were shaken by this news, and while the assailant remains anonymous, the committee currently works to discover his/her identity. “There are many different approaches, and we haven’t agreed on anything”, quotes Xu Xiangqian, 4th Front Army Commander of Mao Zedong, when questioned about the progressiveness of the committee’s pursuit.
In addition to solving the current crisis presented to them, the Politburo also continues to consistently produce and pass Directives, mainly concerning topics related to food production, railroads, new technologies, etc.
